“Violence in all its forms is toxic and destructive, my behavior at the Academy Awards last night was unacceptable and unjustified,” Smith said in a statement posted on his official Facebook page. emotionally,” he said.

And the American actor continued, saying: “I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I went off script and erred. I feel ashamed and my actions were not the indicator I wanted to show about the man I would like to be. There is no place for violence in a world filled with love and kindness,” as he put it.

Smith added, “I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the concert producers, everyone in attendance, and everyone watching the show around the world. Work on myself, Regards, Will,” he says.

Will Smith had assaulted Rock during the second presentation of the concert because of a joke he told about the appearance of the American actor’s wife with a shaved head, which angered Smith, who left his seat to slap him in the face, then returned and began to insult the presenter and demand that he not mention his wife’s name.
