Ministry said the health And the population, if the child exceeds the age of 5 years, becomes not targeted by the national campaign for vaccination against polio, but if the vaccine is taken by mistake, it will not harm him.

Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Health and Population, announced the launch of the national campaign for free vaccination against polio, from 27 to 30 March, in all governorates of the Republic.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the national polio vaccination campaign comes within the framework of keenness to raise societal immunity in children, and to preserve Egypt free of disease.

Hossam Abdel Ghaffar added that the campaign aims to vaccinate all children from the age of one day to five years, both Egyptians and non-Egyptians residing on the land of Egypt, through 45,000 medical teams, with a total of 90,000 individuals, trained at the highest level, in addition to the central supervision teams in the ministry. Supervisory teams in all health directorates and departments.
