Ahmed Mujahid, head of the former temporary committee for the management of the Football Association, who contracted Queiroz to coach the Egyptian national team, revealed the details of the Portuguese coach’s contract with the Pharaohs.
Mujahid said in previous statements on December 12, 2021, that Queiroz’s contract with the Egyptian national team continues until December 18, 2022, which is the day of the end of the World Cup in Qatar.
In the event that the Egyptian national team does not qualify for the World Cup, the contract ends automatically.
It is expected that the Football Association will hold a session with Queiroz after returning to Egypt in order to agree on the position of the Portuguese coach on continuing with the Pharaohs, whether to renew the contract or be satisfied with the period he spent at the head of the technical staff of the Pharaohs.
