Gamal Allam, president of the Football Association, after the return of the Egyptian team from Senegal
Jamal Allam spoke to “BN Sports” on the sidelines of his presence at the FIFA Congress, saying: “We were in the Congress today, and tomorrow we will attend a meeting of the Confederation of African Football and take advantage of these circumstances because our match against Senegal was marred by many strange things.”
And he continued, “We lodged an objection to the CAF and FIFA because the match was played in the form of terrorism and not in a fair manner.”
And he continued, “This atmosphere affected the players and the fans, and one of the fans was injured and taken to the hospital. Even we, members of the Football Association administration, did not sit in the places designated for us, but on the national team’s bench.”
Jamal Allam concluded his speech, “The International Federation must investigate the objections we sent to him, as well as the African Union must have a position. We ask that the match be replayed in a neutral place or in Qatar, and there must be integrity in the meeting.”
