Kylian Mbappe, Paris Saint-Germain and France national team player, revealed his desire to break Thierry Henry’s record as the country’s national team’s all-time top scorer.

France defeated South Africa by five goals in a friendly match on the international agenda.

Mbappe scored two goals during the match, reaching his 26th goal for the French national team.

“I always want to be the number one,” Mbappe said in comments on tf1 after the match.

“I know I have a long way to go, we all know what Thierry Henry did and no one has been able to match it but I know I can do it and it’s closer than you think.”

There are 25 goals left in front of Mbappe, equaling Yenri’s record as a historic goal scorer for France, who managed to score 51 goals.

Henry had only scored 8 goals after reaching the current age of Mbappe.
