The United States and Mexico joined the Canadian national team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar for North America.

While Costa Rica, ranked fourth, moved to the decisive play-off match against New Zealand.

Thus, 29 teams qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, while there are three seats left to be decided in June.

The United States of America qualified despite losing to Costa Rica by two goals to nothing.

The US team finished the qualifiers in third place with 25 points, a difference of goals from Costa Rica, who finished fourth.

The top three North American teams qualify for the 2022 World Cup, while the fourth-placed team will play against a representative of Oceania.

As for Mexico, it secured its qualification by winning 2-0 at the expense of El Salvador.

Mexico raised its score to 28 points in second place, with a goal difference from the qualified Canadian team.

The Canadian national team had secured qualification before the last round, in which it lost to Panama by a single goal.

Next June, Costa Rica will play New Zealand on the 13th or 14th in Qatar, so that one of them will qualify for the World Cup.
