If you’re an avid user of social media platforms, you’ve probably thought about verification of your identity or what is known as getting the “blue tick”, where platforms like Instagram give some users “checks” to indicate that an account holder is verified.
How to verify your accounts
In order for users to be authenticated, their account must be original, complete with a bio, one-of-a-kind, and notable (an account with a large number of followers), and verified accounts usually include companies, brands, public figures, and celebrities/entertainers.
And if you think you meet the criteria and want to try your hand, we’ve outlined the process below.
How to check on Instagram
Since both Instagram and Facebook are owned by Meta, the verification process is the same for both platforms.
First, you need to log into your Instagram or Facebook account, and then go to your settings.
Next, you need to click on the account, and then on the verification request.
Once you do this, enter your full name and submit the required identification form (such as a government-issued photo ID or official business documents).
Then, just follow the on-screen instructions.
