Mohamed Salah from the Senegal match dressing room: Proud to be with this generation

“I am proud to play with this generation and the previous generations,” Mohamed Salah, the star of the English team Liverpool and the captain of the Egyptian national team, said during his speech to his colleagues in the dressing room after the end of the Pharaohs’ confrontation with Senegal, which the latter won on penalties.

Mohamed Salah said: “Defeat from Senegal by penalty kicks for the second time, we have no hand in it, and while being with you or not being present, I am proud to play with this entire generation.”

The Senegalese team defeated Egypt 3-1 on penalties, in the match that brought them together at Abdullah Wade “Diameniadio” stadium in the final qualifying round for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The original time ended with Senegal winning with a clean goal, which is the same result of the first leg match in Cairo, and the two teams played two additional periods that ended with the same result, before the two teams resorted to penalty kicks to decide the qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar.

Amr Al-Sulayya scored for the Egyptian team from penalty kicks, and missed by the Pharaohs Mohamed Salah, Ahmed Sayed Zizou and Mostafa Mohamed, while Ismaila Sarr, Bamba Diang and Sadio Mane scored for Senegal, and wasted by the Teranga Lions players Kalidou Koulibaly and Salio Sis.
