Baligh Hamdi dreamed of getting a ticket to the Kawkab Al Sharq Umm Kulthum party, not knowing that fate would link their names together one day.
In the late fifties, the opportunity came, as he began working with the “An Hour for Your Heart” troupe, which was presenting a famous weekly program at the time, and made a large number of comedy stars.
The band helped him communicate and cooperate with singer Fayda Kamel, as the first artist to perform a tune for “Baligh”.
And he said in a statement to Al-Hayat newspaper, the musician Baligh Hamdi said that the secret of the success of his tunes was his memorization of the Holy Qur’an, as he had read it more than 40 times, stressing that the only woman he loved until the end was only his mother, so he recommended that he be buried next to her.
