New press reports revealed that Al-Ahly player Louis Mickison is close to joining the ranks of Tanzanian Simba during the coming period, noting that there are Gulf offers.
O Pais newspaper reported that the possibility of loaning Mickison is already being considered during the upcoming summer transfers, as the Mozambican international was not the first bet for Pitso Mosimane in Al-Ahly.
The report indicated that the Tanzanian Simba club is the closest to obtaining Mickison’s services next summer, less than one year after his departure from the same team.
O Pais newspaper reported: “In Tanzania, Mikisoni was the first star, and helped the team achieve many victories and crowning championships, which sparked the desire of the major African clubs to include him, led by Sun Downs and Al-Ahly Club, who succeeded in resolving the deal in his favour.”
She added, “Al-Ahly is already considering loaning the player to a club interested in his services, among which is the arrival of offers from teams in the Middle East, such as clubs from the Emirates and Saudi Arabia, in addition to Simba himself, who wants to restore the player.”
The report concluded: “Al-Ahly evaluates the offers, whether by sale or loan, and the player prefers to return on loan to Simba and maintain his contract with the African champion and the third-placed player in the Club World Cup.”
Mikeson had joined Al-Ahly at the beginning of the current season from Simba of Tanzania in a deal valued at about $900,000 only, but he did not participate much with the red genie.
Among the 2340 minutes in 26 matches Al-Ahly played in all competitions this season, the 26-year-old participated in only 10 matches, with a total of 359 minutes, other than his exclusion from the team’s list in 8 matches.
