The Football Association asks Queiroz not to travel, pending the Sunday session

The Board of Directors of the Football Association, headed by Gamal Allam, asked Carlos Queiroz, coach of the Egyptian national team, not to travel to Portugal in the coming hours, after the end of his mission with the Pharaohs and the failure of the Egyptian team to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

The request of the Football Association comes from Queiroz, pending the session that will be held with Queiroz next Sunday, after the return of the Jabaliya delegation from Doha, where it participated in the FIFA Congress, in order to discuss the issue of Al-Khawaja’s continuation and his demands in the event of staying.

And Carlos Queiroz, coach of the Egyptian national team, approached the continuation of leading the Pharaohs during the next stage, despite the fact that the team did not qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Queiroz’s contract with the Football Association provides for the automatic termination of the contract if he does not qualify for the 2022 World Cup, which means Queiroz’s career with the Pharaohs ends last Tuesday evening after the Senegal match.

Most of the members of the Football Association are heading to renew confidence in Queiroz and his continuity in the coming period, provided that a session will be held with him next week to learn about his position on continuing and his demands if he wants to continue.

It is noteworthy that Egypt lost the World Cup qualification ticket after losing on penalties to Senegal last Tuesday night.
