Thomas Partey leads Ghana to snatch the World Cup qualification ticket


Ghana snatched the qualification card for the next edition of the 2022 World Cup to be hosted by the State of Qatar, after a draw against its Nigerian counterpart, with a goal for each team, during the match that brought them together this evening, Tuesday, in the second leg of the African qualifying round for the World Cup.

The guest Ghana advanced with an early goal scored by player Thomas Partey after 10 minutes of the first half, before the host country equalized, the Nigerian team quickly scored with a goal scored by player William Trost from a penalty kick in the 22nd minute.

The first leg, hosted by Ghana, ended in a goalless draw between the two teams, to ensure the country’s promotion, taking advantage of the goal rule with two away from the ground.

This is the fourth time that Ghana has qualified for the World Cup.
