Zamalek managed to turn its delay from a 0-2 defeat against Al-Ahly to an exciting 3-2 victory, in the first match of the league semi-final, which was held between them at the New Administrative Capital Hall.
Thus, Zamalek advances in the semi-final series that are held in the playoff system (Best of 3), with a score of 1-0 in the confrontations.
The white team needs to win the second match, in order to qualify for the final of the Volleyball League, while Al-Ahly needs to win the second match in order to equalize the result, and go to a playoff to determine who qualifies for the league final.
Al-Ahly entered the match strongly and settled the first half in its favour, after a strong competition with Zamalek, with a score of 25-23, and then settled the second half in its favour, with a score of 25-21.
Zamalek returned to the match after he settled the third set in his favour, with a score of 25-17, then he continued his successful return and ended the fourth set in his favour, with a score of 25-19.
Zamalek settled the fifth and deciding game in his favour, with a score of 15-12, after witnessing a strong and friendly competition between the two teams, as Al-Ahly advanced in the score 9-7, then Zamalek tied 9-9, and the tie between the two teams continued until 11-11, before the team’s players expanded White made the difference and settled the fifth and deciding game in their favour, with a score of 15-12.
