Ahmed Abu Abla, head of the Al-Ahly club’s medical apparatus, confirmed that the X-ray conducted by Rami Rabia, the team’s defender, confirmed that he had a torn hamstring muscle.
Rabia was injured during his participation with the national team in the Senegal match that was held last Tuesday in the final qualifying phase for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and the player was unable to complete the match and Ayman Ashraf participated as a substitute for him.
Abu Abla revealed that Rami Rabia needs a treatment period of three to four weeks, to return to Al-Ahly’s group training.
Abu Abla added that the condition of Hamdi Fathi, the Al-Ahly player, is reassuring to a large extent, and the medical examinations he conducted proved that he had suffered a bruise in the shoulder, and that he would undergo a medical examination tomorrow, Friday, before the team’s training began; To reassure more on his condition, although things are not worrisome with regard to his injury.
Al-Ahly resumed its training this Thursday morning, in preparation for facing the Sudanese Al-Hilal, scheduled for next Sunday evening, in the sixth and final round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
The team trained at the Touch Stadium after the rest period that it obtained yesterday, within the program set by the technical staff led by Pitso Mosimane.
